Ανακοίνωση στους πελάτες shared web hosting
Αγαπητέ πελάτη,
Θα θέλαμε να σε ενημερώσουμε ότι έχουμε αναβαθμίσει τις υποδομές μας στο shared web hosting. Πλέον απαλλαχτήκαμε από τα dedicated μηχανήματα που είχαμε και περάσαμε σε VPS. Έτσι η υποδομή του shared hosting βασίζεται πλέον και αυτή στις cloud υποδομές που έχουμε βγάλει σε παραγωγή από το 2011.
Αυτό έχει τα εξής πλεονεκτήματα:
- Καλύτερη & πιο σύγχρονη υποδομή hardware
- Ευελιξία στην αλλαγή/αύξηση των διαθέσιμων πόρων των Virtual server
- Καλύτερη διαχείριση server μέσω κονσόλας
- Ελαχιστοποίηση περιπτώσεων downtime
Παράλληλα με την σημαντική αυτή αλλαγή και το πέρασμα σε Virtual Servers, μεταβήκαμε και σε ένα καλύτερο και ασφαλέστερο Control Panel, αλλά προπάντων πιο δυνατό και με περισσότερες δυνατότητες. Ο λόγος είναι για το γνωστό σε όλους cPanel. Πλέον οι web server μας θα τρέχουν cPanel.
Έτσι λοιπόν τα websites, τα emails και όλες οι ρυθμίσεις μεταφέρθηκαν την Πέμπτη 16/5 και την Παρασκευή 17/5 σε νέο web server και σταδιακά ελέγχαμε τα sites και γυρίζαμε τους DNS. Μέχρι το Σάββατο 18/5 και με ελάχιστες περιπτώσεις μέχρι την Κυριακή 19/5 είχαμε γυρίσει όλους τους DNS για τα domain names που ελέγχουμε. Αν το domain name σας δεν ελέγχεται από εμάς, καλό θα ήταν να αλλάξετε άμεσα τους DNS Servers του domain σας σε dns3.pla.net.gr & dns4.pla.net.gr, έτσι ώστε να παίζεται από το νέο server.
Επίσης θα θέλαμε να σας ενημερώσουμε ότι δεν έχει αλλάξει τίποτα από ρυθμίσεις ή κωδικούς, ενώ το μόνο που αλλάζει (εκτός από το Control Panel) είναι η IP, που από 93.174.121.132 (παλιά IP), γίνεται πλέον 93.174.122.132.
Αν λοιπόν έχετε ρυθμίσεις που βασίζονται στην IP του server, παρακαλούμε πολύ να την αλλάξετε σε 93.174.122.132 ή ακόμα καλύτερα αν μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιείτε το ίδιο σας το domain name.

Announcement to shared web hosting customers
Dear client,
We would like to inform you that we have upgraded our infrastructure for shared web hosting. We got rid of the dedicated servers we used to have and we pass to VPS. So the infrastructure for shared hosting is based on our cloud infrastructure as well, being in production since 2011.
This action has the following results:
- Better & newer hardware
- Flexibility on changes/upgrade of the available resources of Virtual Servers
- Better management of the servers via console
- Minimize downtime circumstances
In addition with this important change and the pass to Virtual Servers, we also migrated to a better and safer Control Panel, but above all more string and with more options. We are talking about the known cPanel. From now on, all our web servers will run on cPanel.
So all the websites, emails and all the settings migrated on Thursday 16/5 and on Friday 17/5 to the new server. We checked all the websites one by one and we switched the DNS. We switched all the DNS for the domain names that we control until Saturday 18/5 and with a very few exception until Sunday 19/5. If your domain name is not controller by us, it would be good to change immediately the DNS Servers of your domain into dns3.pla.net.gr & dns4.pla.net.gr, so it will be able to point from the new server.
Also we would like to inform you that nothing has changed regarding settings or passwords. The only thing that changes (except the Control Panel) is the IP, which changed from 93.174.121.132 (previous IP), into 93.174.122.132.
So, if you have settings that are based on the IP of your server, please change it into 93.174.122.132 or even better if you can use the domain itself.
